Web 2.0 Tool: Testing Out Trackboost

I just purchased Jack Humphrey’s Trackboost (http://www.trackboost.com) Notice I placed the link in this format to show you that I am not promoting an affiliate with this product. It is that good of a product that I do not need an affiliate link to promote it. I have used it a couple of times on my blogs with great results in only a few minutes.

It is a tool in which it will actually go out and search other blogs in your niche (keywords) and will allow you to trackback to those blogs whose posts match a post that is on your blog of the same topic. It is not a blackhat tool but rather a true Web 2.0 tool in which it will help you as a blogger connect and converse with other bloggers in your same areas of interest. It is fantastic it saves a ton of time because you just type in keywords and it does the Google Blog search for you and makes a clean list for you to just click through. There are several other features with it but I would suggest checking out his video on it at http://www.trackboost.com

Here is an example of Trackboost in action. This took less than 2 minutes to find and less than 5 minutes to get up on my blog in proper format -

One of the tools that I use to promote my websites and others are the social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Digg, etc, etc.

If you do not know what these are these are the core sites for the Web 2.0 craze. Here are a couple of my profiles that you contact me or friend me or follow me or digg me or whatever the web 2.0 site wants you to do to me…

What happened to the website experiment

OK I did start my website experiment to show what can be done with the website promotion tools that I use. However I was told by one of my guru friends that it is not a good idea to show off one of your established sites for a variety of reasons and one of them being Google can and will slap you down.

Don’t believe me or my guru friend it happened to Brad Fallon. Here is a site I think you will enjoy reading I do.. but the topic is about a Andrew Hansen promoting a new niche blog and you need to read the comments about what has happened to some people including Brad Fallon when they mention their website in relation to getting more and more traffic and how they are doing and how they are making money from it. Here’s the post —> If I Started Niche Marketing From Scratch

So I stopped the experiment right away and obviously I have not posted in a couple months thereafter…BTW the experiment did work I just now can’t show you what happened.

Website Promotion: D&S Beatty Enterprises, LLP

D&S Beatty Enterprises, LLP is expanding. The company was initially intended for website development and promotion of our own interests in specific niches. We have been pretty successful in that endeavor. What has occurred is that we are getting more and more requests to do this type of work for other people and businesses.

It started out with requests to just build or change websites such as was the case for Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Seasons Soccer Club and a few others. Currently we are constructing sites for Crown Point Swim Club and Masinco Construction

However we are now receiving requests for website promotion. Since that is actually the part of the business we really enjoy doing, we are definitely going to head in that direction. So what is website promotion?

Website promotion entails several things but basically for D&S Beatty Enterprises it is a plan of attack to of course get your site in the top rankings of Google and other Search engines, but more importantly in your specific niche to have your website dominating that niche, which means multiple website exposure not just the search engines.

To show how this works we are going to go through a series of posts. The first couple will be about one of my established sites - Option Spreads Showing the rankings in the search engines now for the specific keywords I am targeting. Now obviously this is a major risk showing this information because it may increase my competition - however I have chosen a field in which competition is pretty fierce anyway. After this, the next few will show a brand new site, in fact only the domain name has been purchased, it’s not hosted yet, and how quickly the site will appear in the rankings of the search engines and how quickly it is to dominate a specific niche.

Then lastly I will need to promote this site - www.dsbeatty.com, which will be in one of the most demanding and competitive markets the Internet Marketing niche. So we shall see, but obviously if you are reading this some of my IM skills are working otherwise you would not have found this site to read it. So I guess I am somewhat successful just from the fact that someone is reading this.

Web 2.0 Survey - pathetic

OK I really should not even post the results because I received such a pathetic amount of survey takers. However since I said I would post the results I will.

Favorite Submission Site - Propeller at 66% of the vote

Favorite Social Network - Facebook at an outstanding and impossible but it did happen 100%

Favorite Bookmarking Site - Stumble Upon at 62% of the vote

Now the reasons almost all had the same theme - easy to use and produced good traffic

Now for the site links - Also a pathetic amount submitted in fact one person even put my website in as a link…LOL

http://setourteachersfree.com

http://rescue4furbabies.com

http://lovejots.com

http://www.dotnetkicks.com/ - the only actual web 2.0 site submitted for the survey all the rest are personal sites, but all look like good quality sites even the one below…LOL

Web 2.0 Survey

OK I am going on vacation and will be back around Christmas. In the meantime I would like to conduct a little Web 2.0 survey to find out which Web 2.0 sites are your favorite.

I will post the results on December 26th along with the small token of appreciation for taking the survey. You will find this gift as the last question of the survey.

So to take the survey click here—> Web 2.0 Survey

Webel - a review

Are you a Webel?

A lot of my marketing comes from blogs and blog promotion using web 2.0 sites. If you know about Web 2.0 you probably know Jack Humphrey of The Black Book fame or Bending the Web his new project or maybe you have heard of Howie Schwarz of Conversation Domination, but have you heard of Clive from Webel.biz fame??

No probably not, why because Webel is new..Brand new. And it is designed with the newbie in mind or actually it is made for the unorganized in mind…like Clive. Using the techniques of web 2.0 as shown by Jack Humphrey, Webel lays out a very specific plan for implementing the strategy. In Clive’s own words…

Now I’m crap at organising myself. Don’t get me wrong, I work hard but often I don’t ‘work smart’ it is this that inspired me to set up Webel. There are dozens of tiny steps to take to make this work so….
I needed something to not only remind me where I’d been and what I’d done when promoting a particular web page or blog post but also a way to hold my natural enthusiasm for a great idea in check. To stop me from jumping in with both feet and to keep me focused on the individual objectives. So far so good, it’s working!
Webel.biz is for people who, like me, function best and get more done working with a TO DO LIST.

Basically there are 15 days to promoting your keyword phrase and each day Webel has laid out which sites to visit. This is especially good if you are setting up multiple niche sites. You just have to remember which day you are on and keep plugging away controlling your own little keyword phrase! It works great. I have tried it for the past couple of weeks with pretty good results. It does layout a pretty specific plan that can be implemented in a hour or so a day depending on your skill level and if you are a memeber already of the sites that Webel is pointing you to that day. Even if you do not need the organization that Webel provides it does list out some of the best web 2.0 sites out there.

Oh did I tell you that it was free? Just sign up on the home page and the login information is sent to you via email. It also looks like it could turn into a growing community of Webels! So I ask again are you a Webel? You should be! Visit www.webel.biz

Ross Goldberg’s Midwest Internet Marketing Seminar

Paulie Sabol, Daniel Beatty, Harris Fellman, & Ross Goldberg

Originally uploaded by danielbeatty

Here is my best and worst picture from Ross Goldberg’s Midwest Internet Marketing Seminar.

Best because I am pictured here with three of my favorite and most respected entrpreneurs/internet marketeres. The worst because it was so washed out because of the location.

The seminar was phenomenal. I met an amazing group of people as well as meeting some of the best internet marketers out there. Click on the photo and it will take you to my Flickr photo account where you can see who I met, talked with, made new connections, and above all learned from. It was a great experience and I highly recommend if you have never been to an internet marketing seminar you must attend. There is another one that I will be attending in September - Details to follow.

Besides the networking two of the most important things happened at this seminar -

1.) Me and a few other attendees have formed a Master Mind group so thank you Ross for having a seminar that I finally get to meet like minded people face to face and trust them enough to set up a group like this.

2.) Listening to Ross Goldbergs presentation, done without Power Point by the way, has made me realize that I have finally broken the code for success in internet marketing. I have just started using the protocol outlined by Ross in his presentation a couple of months ago with some good results. I have now tweaked it with his help and I will definitely be making some money doing this business.
